FAQ
You got questions? We got answers.
-
What kind of clients does Zehno have?
Most of our clients are organizations with an educational mission — colleges and universities.
Among those with whom we work most closely are communication directors, chief public relations officers, magazine editors, webmasters, admission directors, development officers, executive directors, deans and presidents. -
I have a terrific in-house staff. Can Zehno work in conjunction with these people?
Zehno works best with institutions that already have a great in-house communications staff. We know you might not have the budget for us to do all the writing, so we’ll work in conjunction with your team of content contributors, “on-the-spot” reporters, and marketing and communications directors to produce the pieces you want at the prices you need.
Additionally, we partner with printing, photography and video professionals who we know to offer excellent service and quality and are cost-efficient to boot.
-
I already have the entire concept and copy for my annual report. We even have photos. Will Zehno just do the design work?
No. We find that we work best if we develop concept with our clients in a way that matches strategic marketing objectives. Sometimes copy may be provided by an in-house or freelance writer rather than Zehno; then we work together on the design (including selection of photography and/or illustration). We are always willing to discuss with a client or potential client our most appropriate level of involvement in any project.
-
I already have an effective communications plan. Can I order Zehno services à la carte?
Yes. We will certainly want to be familiar with your existing communications plan, however, before we embark on an annual report, viewbook or major web project. (It probably is not cost effective to hire Zehno for a basic brochure or other small project unless it is the first step in a larger commitment.)
-
I am in a hurry. Can we skip the strategy and go straight to design and production?
Whatever the hurry, we never skip strategy. We’ve discovered that it costs much more time in the long run whenever we do.
-
Can you give me a ball park figure of how much my institution will spend?
Zehno invests significant research into getting to know your institution, its culture and the challenges you face. We find that yearly budgets of $150,000 allow us to do your projects, big and small, very efficiently and very effectively.
