Our current open position:

WEB DESIGN/PRODUCTION SPECIALIST

Zehno Cross Media Communications is an award-winning, New Orleans-based firm with a national client base. We are searching for a Web Design/Production Specialist to work in conjunction with Partners and other staff members to design and produce online communication strategies and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyzing existing communication tools and client requests for best application to the Web

Organizing content into appropriate navigation schemes

Identifying page type template and design wireframe layouts to block out page elements

Developing architecture, page layout, and design concepts, carrying them forward and producing assets for production development

Participating in the production of specific Web and online projects, meeting quality standards, technical requirements, and best practices

- Creating templates and CMS-friendly HTML
- Producing HTML and CSS using Web Standards
- Optimizing graphics
- Building and updating pages, HTML e-mail banners, etc.
- Selecting appropriate imagery from an approved pool
- Testing and assuring cross-browser and cross-platform quality and adherence to tech specs

Formatting proposals and project documents

Supporting print design process through making corrections, etc.

Educating fellow staff members

Identifying and communicating emerging opportunities

Refining project methodology, documentation, and management

SKILLS/PROGRAMS:

Superior command of Dreamweaver, BBEdit, HTML, CSS, Web Standards, and FTP/SFTP

Proficiency in Flash and Photoshop/Imageready

Working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, javascript, and other scripting languages

EXPERIENCE:

At least 3 years in online design and production necessary, including at least 1 project involving templatization of site managed within a CMS and updated by client. Print portfolio required with at least 3 sample URLs with details of project involvement will be required during the application process.

The chosen candidate will be efficient, detail-oriented, inquisitive, and conscientious and possess strong analytic and communication skills.
